The Moments That Made US is a free, print-on-demand exhibition, and the result of a multi- state collaboration formed in observance of the 250th anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence. The Moments That Made US explores the ideals at the heart of the United States' founding document, providing a meaningful way to spark conversation, inspiration, and connection as the nation reflects on the last 250 years.

The files included in the Moments That Made US kit below allow you to incorporate your own local history. Planners have intentionally designed this exhibition to allow your organization to consider your space and audience.

Next Steps:

1. Add Your Exhibition Events to South Dakota's Statewide Calendar. Make sure to include list key dates, such as exhibition openings, and historian talks.
2. Become a partner in the state's celebrations and get access to the South Dakota 250 logo.
3. Complete a Moments That Made Us survey form at the end of the exhibition. This form will be shared via email later in 2026, through a link included at the end of this document so you can easily find it. Help provide us with feedback and insight once you've completed your exhibit.
